Lesley Lana joined Friends of the High Line in June 2024, bringing over 30 years of extensive finance experience to her role as Senior Director of Finance. In this position, she provides strategic financial guidance to the executive team and board of directors, while overseeing the finance and accounting team to ensure effective financial management.
A seasoned finance professional and CPA, Lana has a proven track record in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and audit and taxation across both for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Prior to joining Friends of the High Line, she served as the Director of Budgeting at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, overseeing all facets of the museum’s $60 million operating budget, as well as management reporting and financial analysis in support of the executive team and Board of Directors. Her previous roles include director-level positions at leading financial institutions, including Alliance Bernstein, Instinet Corporation and Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management. Lana began her career at Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal Group, where she earned her CPA license and developed foundational skills in audit and taxation, as well as strategic business planning for real estate bankruptcy workouts.
Lana holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Hofstra University and a Certificate in Arts Administration from New York University. She has also contributed her expertise as a former board and benefit committee member for the Emerging Artists Theatre Company in New York City.
