Kira Strong is the Senior Director of the High Line Network. Launched in 2017 and led and fully funded by the High Line, the High Line Network is a community of infrastructure reuse projects creating vibrant and equitable public spaces across North America. Strong previously served as the Executive Director for the City of Philadelphia’s Rebuilding Community Infrastructure Initiative (Rebuild), a more than $500 million historic investment in improving parks, recreation centers, and libraries across Philadelphia. The program focused on physical improvements, promoting economic inclusion by ensuring diverse businesses had access to work, and engaging residents and stakeholders to help determine the future of their facilities. Before leading the program, she served as Rebuild’s Deputy Director of Design and Construction.

Strong also previously served as the Vice President of Community and Economic Development at the People’s Emergency Center Community Development Corporation, where she supervised the nonprofit’s activities in five neighborhoods as it completed $65 million in real estate and economic developments. Prior to that, Strong managed federally funded programs for the School District of Philadelphia.

She has received the City & State PA’s 2024 Above & Beyond award and has been honored as a 40 Under 40 by The Philadelphia Business Journal. In addition, she currently serves on the Advisory Committees of the Community Design Collaborative and the Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations.
