Due to heavy rain in the forecast, tonight’s High Line Tour: From Freight to Flowers has been canceled. We look forward to seeing you on a future tour!
Project Brief The 23rd Street Stair, which is located west of 10th Avenue, was constructed in 2011. The stair passes through an opening in the High Line bridge structure, and consists of a painted steel structure, stainless steel treads and risers, and bent metal infill panels at the portion of stair that abuts the High Line steel plate girders at the upper landing.
The painted bent metal infill panels have corroded and require replacement. The scope of work for this project includes removing the full extent of the bent metal infill panel assemblies and replacing them with a new infill design.
