Rebeca Carapiá (b. 1988, Salvador, Brazil) lives and works in São Paulo, Brazil.
Lightning Rod for Confused Energies 3.0 transforms writing into abstract metal forms that function as an open, aerial calligraphy. Composed of vertical elements in iron, bronze, and copper, the sculpture draws on copper’s conductive properties to suggest the channeling of physical and social energies. It operates as a mediator between body, language, and urban space.
