Jonathan Lyndon Chase (b. 1989, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) lives and works in Philadelphia.
Love Seat is a large yellow sofa, topped with two male heads facing one another, rendered at large scale. In this site for shared use, people can sit together, pause, or occupy it at the same time, creating moments of proximity and co-presence. Usually associated with private interiors, the sofa is placed in open space, where it becomes an invitation for collective engagement, connection, intimacy, and shared experience.
