Aria Dean (b. 1993, Los Angeles, California) lives and works in New York, New York.
Action Figure (model train) is a bubblegum-pink aluminum sculpture made from digitally deformed model freight trains compressed into a cubic form. Antique, wooden, and contemporary train models are compacted together, with small gaps allowing light through, transforming familiar industrial forms into a dense abstract structure.
