Dandelion

Judith Hopf (b. 1969, Karlsruhe, Germany) lives and works in Berlin, Germany.

Dandelion is a 27-foot-tall steel sculpture of the familiar plant, rendered in bright yellow and green. Its enlarged form is visible from the street and the High Line, while leaf shapes at the base create places to sit. Known for growing in difficult conditions, the dandelion, considered a pioneer species, becomes a symbol of resilience, transformation, and everyday ritual.
