Crossroads
Frieda Toranzo Jaeger (b. 1988, Mexico City, Mexico) lives and works in Mexico City.
Crossroads is a three-dimensional mural made from hand-crafted Mexican tiles, covered in layered imagery. Drawing on Diego Rivera’s unfinished 1933 Man at the Crossroads, conceived for the Rockefeller Center, the work reimagines its figures and themes. By expanding muralism into sculpture, it reflects on labor, power, and the role of political art in public life.
