The Sun

Dawn Ng (b. 1982, Singapore) lives and works in Singapore.

The Sun is a large installation featuring a circular image within a black frame, shown on screens on both sides. One side shows a spherical shape of colored ice melting into flowing streams; the other reverses the process. As viewers move around it, the image appears to rise and set at once, creating a shifting play of color, light, and time.
