Gifts of Assets & Wire Transfers

Stock or Securities Donations

Maximize your impact by donating appreciated securities—like stocks, bonds, ETFs, and mutual funds—and avoid capital gains taxes. If you itemize your tax return, you may also receive a tax deduction.

To donate publicly traded securities:

1. Provide your broker with the following information:
• Friends of the High Line; EIN#: 31-1734086
• DTC #: 0005, Account #: 050-29425-5
• Reference line: Donor’s name

2. To ensure a prompt tax-deductible receipt, share the donor name, stock symbol, number of shares, and approximate donation value via email at stocks@thehighline.org, or by calling 646-774-2505.

You can also reach Friend of the High Line’s broker directly:
Andre McNeil
Goldman Sachs
212-357-1193

Wire Transfer Donations

To donate via wire transfer, use the following bank details, including the donor name in the memo field, and notify us at majorgifts@thehighline.org.

Account name: Friends of the High Line
Bank name: Citizens Bank
Bank address: 1 Citizens Drive, Riverside, RI 02915
Account number: 4032103576
ABA number: 021313103
SWIFT code: CTZIUS33

Donor Advised Fund (DAF) Giving

If you have a DAF, you can make a donation to Friends of the High Line. You can also include Friends of the High Line as a partial or full beneficiary of your DAF (EIN #: 31-1734086), 820 Washington Street, New York, NY 10014. Please ask your DAF representative to include your name and address so we can acknowledge your generosity and share the impact of your gift.

Giving Through Your IRA

If you are 70 ½ or older, you can support the High Line through your IRA’s Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), up to $111,000 per person in 2026. If you’re 73 or older, you can take your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) to support the High Line’s ongoing work.

Why consider this gift?
Your gift can make a difference today and keep the High Line a vibrant gathering place for all. By making a QCD gift to Friends of the High Line through your IRA, you pay no income tax and generate no income, so you’ll benefit even if you don’t itemize. If you are 73 or older, your gift may count towards your RMD for the year in which your check is issued and is excluded from your taxable income. Making an IRA distribution to a charity won’t count as income, and it could lower your Medicare premiums and decrease the amount of Social Security subject to taxation.

Disclaimer: Friends of the High Line is not engaged in legal or tax advisory services. Please consult with your professional advisor as to which giving vehicle is right for you.
